This is a hybrid/comfort bike and meant for bike trails and pavement, and maybe smooth dirt roads. It is not meant to be taken down ski runs in the summer. Yes some of my friends do that, with burly mountain bikes of course!

Just wanted to add that I am still very happy with Schwinn Midmoor Men’s Hybrid Bike, although I observed the cost went up. Nevertheless, it’s still a great value in the current cost. I’ve designed a couple of modifications that individuals might be thinking about. I changed the stock pedals using the highly ranked “MKS Sylvan Touring Pedal Double On the sides” and added “Delta Bicycle Bustier Foot clips” bustier clips. Excellent five star Japanese made pedals–an ideal match with this bike, and well worth the cost. The Delta bustier foot clips really are a little small for my size 11 shoe, but otherwise work great. I changed the stock handlebar grips with “WTB Safe Place Grips” bought at REI. Now my hands don’t tingle on lengthy rides. They seem to be like the affordable Avenir Cozy Soft grips offered by Amazon. Another tip–I do not care what Schwinn or even the tire company states, don’t inflate the tires a lot more than 30 pounds, unless of course you need to get lots of houses.
